Dear Christian

Congratulation and Mazal Tov.
I see that you listed the town of Horodenka, this must have been from the trip which we took together on the way to Zolotyi Potik. This was the place from where my grandparents moved to Czernowitz.
I will definitely order the book.

Wish you all the best

Arthur

 Dear friends,

 Please excuse the following shameless
self-promotion. But since many of you followed my trips to
Jewish heritage sites in Eastern Europe virtually and some
even adviced to make a book of the photos, at least some of
 you might be interested.

My new book “In Fading Light” will
be released in September. It is the essence of years of
travelling and of trying to find and document what is still
visible of the Jewish heritage in Ukraine, the Republic of
Moldova, Poland, Hungary and Romania. On 180 pages the book
presents 110 photos of 57 places in full colour.
 Czernowitz/Chernivtsi is well represented!

You will find all details, previews of
cover and pages as well as order and pre-order information
in the recent Vanished World blog post:

 https://vanishedworld.blog/2018/07/24/in-fading-light-will-be-released-in-september/

Making this book was only possible by
the help and encouragement of friends. Many of them are list
members. They gave me advice, shared their stories, gave me
hints where and for what to search, or even travelled with
me. I am eternally grateful to them! All these journeys were
a priceless gift and I hope the book somehow reflects it.
Even when the title sounds pessimistic, “In Fading
Light” is also a tribute to those who are committed to
preserve what is left. Still, there is light.

 Warm wishes,
 Christian
