Since we are sharing reports from the area, here is a message I received on
November 1 about the situation in Bukovina from the teenage daughter of
Aleksandr Tausher in Vyzhnytsia (Wiznitz), to whom I give a weekly English
lesson via Skype, after she had lost internet connection the previous
Sunday.

“Yesterday, a shell hit the Chernivtsi region. Important infrastructure was
damaged, they don't say for sure, but most likely it was a hydroelectric
plant. Because of this, our lights are often turned off. They say that
people were not injured, but the station itself was badly damaged. It was
the first shell in these 8 months that still hit, before everyone missed.”
