My Radauti Schachter family had mid-1800s origins in Okup, Galicia,
which is very close to Kudrynce, Mielnitsa, and Uscie Biscupie. I
found this out from a 1980 recorded interview with my grandmother's
sister, and it was confirmed in some marriage records registered in
Radauti around 1875 in which it was noted that the parents of the
bridegroom were born in Okup.

The only thing I can add is that according to online sources, Okup
was the birthplace of the Baal Shem Tov, who only lived there briefly
there before moving on.
