cheremosh is the newest hotel in Czernovitz and could be the best one
however its location is a bit awkward in my opinion, its way away from downtown
and at least half an hour ride on the trolley bus, the other hotel
that I would recommend
is called Bukowina, its right on the main street in front of the
central park Kalinin, or as it was called 16 years ago and a
Czernovitz soccer stadium/sporting complex, also probably about 20-30
minute walk from downtown, walking right on the main street.
Hotel Cheremosh is located more on the outskirts of the city
surrounded by the soviet style housing blocks, that look like
projects in US, so not of the nicests neighborhoods but it has a nice
view because it located near a small park and a pond, and also is on
top of a hill.
Hotel Bukowina is one of the oldest hotels in modern Chernovitz but
its location is much better
then Cheremosh, in the neighborhood that was build by Romania or
Austria, while Cheremosh is much newer and more high tech, also more
popular because of that, so I guess its a tough decision you'll have
to make, personally I would lean towards hotel Bukowina, its also
located in a safer neighborhood where you can just go out and walk
around, instead of relying on transportation all the time.
this is the English website of hotel Bukowina:
http://www.hotel.cv.ua/eng/index_eng.html

and yes there are a bunch of other hotels in Czernovits, I googled it
and heres what I found,
http://all-hotels.ru/index.en.html?r=10509

certainly more hotels then when I lived there 16 years ago

well hope this helps, good luck and have fun on the trip
