Greetings Czernowitzers!
I'm so hungry from reading all these recipes that I think I'm going to
have to put an advert in the newspaper to find someone that can put them
together for me. I hope the cookbook in its final form will be explicit
enough so that even I will be able make use of it.
1. The archives have been updated to 17 June 2005. So, all the recipes
are available in their 'raw' form, on line. Finding most of them should
be quite easy, by subject. However, some folks are omitting the [Cz-L]
in the subject line or changing the subject line of a particular thread,
and thus some things don't get alphabetized properly. You can search for
things by subject, date, author or thread, but I have no way to allow
you to search the text for a 'string' (particular word or phrase).
2. The Czernowitz FamilyFinder has been updated as of 20 June.
3. I've had a request from Dan R. to ask the group to look at the name
of a town listed on a ship's manifest that he can't quite read. Should
be easy for those that have worked on the cemetery registers. Take a
look at: http://members.shaw.ca/czernowitz/webperson/identify.html

{Moderator Note: Jerome - The Moderator on Duty is responsible for
inserting the [Cz-L] tag in the subject line. I'm going to talk to
him right now, find out what went wrong, and immediately cut his
paycheck in half. Someone will pay for this! My guess is that he
spent too much time daydreaming about tocz, mammaliga, malai and
Schmettentorten. Bruce I. Reisch]
