Hi Julia,
I am trying to organize something so that we may be able to visit
both. Meet in Vienna first, then an optional tour to Czernowitz plus meet
those who want to go directly there.Some of us are not actually from Cz.
so the pull is not there for us to just go to Cz. I personally feel that
meeting you all is more interesting than the actual Cz. of today in the
Ukraine.
Vienna, as the 'kultur-zenter' of Bukovina, seems to appeal to the
majority and it will certainly be more fun than the Ukraine! However a
tour of the Balkan region via Romania to Czernowitz may be of interest
to some. Once we have the date, others can just join us in Czernowitz if
they prefer to go directly there.
I shall be preparing a tentative itinerary with a friend over the
weekend.
