This is the first time I've heard anyone else speak of Kalichanka - but I
am also searching for information about it.

Kalichanka in Czernowitz is where my Grandfather Marcus ROSENBERG was born.
He grew up in House 73 Kalichanka and later started his working life as a
coal miner in Russia, but then became a salesman.

There are family stories about his father being a stationmaster of a small
station near Czernowitz, but I have no evidence of this.
