[Cz-L] Vienna and Czernowitz

Malvina -- My husband and I are another couple that would like to join your
adventure in Vienna and Czernowitz next May/June. I've been following the
discussions with great interest as my father and most of his family were
born, raised and buried in Czernowitz. I also recall that he allied himself
very strongly with Vienna -- in fact, for years I thought that this had
been his birthplace, until papers surfaced after his death in America that
specified Czernowitz. Whether Vienna was in his heart because there were
other family members there, because it was the center of the Austrian
government at the time of his youth, or whether because of its reputation
for high culture, (or a mix of these things) I am not sure. But I am
certainly looking forward to this opportunity to experience both cities,
especially in the company of this group.

I would like to know at least an estimate (these things do change) of what
the hotel rate is likely to be in US dollars for a double room. And do I
presume correctly that the Euro is also the currency in Czernowitz? Or is
it a Ukrainian currency?
