hello to all! first, if i sound like i am preaching a sermon, i
apologise.if i upset anybody...i do not mean to so do. now, to get on
with it. this whole trip idea started in a small way and has suddenly
exploded into literally a mass movement.czernowitz stirs us still,much
more than anybody anticipated...and we are doing exactly what jews
always do....bicker. oddly enough,most people are coming up with good
ideas, but there are just too many of them. we have,all of us, to accept
certain facts.there is one travel agent, charles german,who must be told
by everybody whether they are coming.; not i repeat not because we all
have to travel with him but because he has to know how many hotel rooms
to book in vienna and czernowitz,how many are going on from vienna to
czernowitz so he can get us a cheaper group rate flight and other such
details.of course we all can arrange our own flights from south america,
the usa etc , and we all can decide individually whether to go on from
czernowitz to rumania,bulgaria or anywhere else, with charles or
otherwise.

please all accept that the dates are set and fixed, both in vienna and
czernowitz but.....the people who want to stay on in czernowitz for a
longer time too are at liberty to so do. i want to meet all of you....we
all have the same origin, i am willing to take a bet that people will
compare notes and find family so at least for the 1st week in
czernowitz we need to all be there!! as for other programs...i know
vienna reasonably well and i can recommend places to go and see
including some to which the average tourist does not get. all this can
be easily arranged in an hour or so the 1st day in vienna. iwas too
young when i left czernowitz to remember all, but we have among us those
who can suggest and arrange sightseeing....the cemetery, transnistria,
finding where people lived and so on. here again ,charles has contacts
in the town.... and if anyone has a particular desire to go and swim in
the valya kozmi or do anything,now is the time to let him know.please
remember, a single voice speaking for all can arrange things more
efficiently and cheaply than a bunch of individualists going off in all
directions.i cannot emphasise enough that the fundamentals of all this
are enough prebooked hotel rooms and enough aeroplane seats to get us
there....and out again!! ok i guess thats enough for now
