Dear Bruce,
My husband's father, Yosef Shlomo Menczel, was born in Storojinets in 1903.
He was son of Shmuel Menczer and Yocheved Kahana (daughter of R. Yaakov
Kahana).
There was a very big family there and in all of Bukovina. Many were murdered
in the holocaust, and others dispersed - and we are looking for them.
I would be very interested in information you may have about the area and
about the families there.
