I forgot to mention two things:

1. The maiden name is often given, in addition to the married name,
on the tombstone for pre-WWII burials of married women. (I can't
read Russian, so I can't tell if this is the case for post WWII
burials.)

2. Many of the more recent burials (post WWII) include photos or
engravings of the deceased individual directly on the tombstone.

I think these two items will be important to those of you looking for
pictures of ancestors or their maiden names.
