Hi, Czernowitzers,
I think that Jessica Falikman Attiyeh makes a very
good point, with Celia Male's help, about broadening
our horizons when researching our ancestors. The only
limitation that I can think of, is the number of hours
in the day. I am reading 6 list digests daily now and
shudder to think of adding more. My problem is that
my four grandparents' families [plus those of my
husband] had the audacity to emigrate from entirely
different areas of Europe.:)
I would suggest searching the archives of different
SIGs for mentions of areas/surnames of interest before
signing up. Or one could sign up and post a question,
wait a few weeks and then cancel.
If anyone else has some successful strategies, I would
welcome hearing about them - either privately or to
the group.
Many thanks,
