Hello, all --

For a name, how about "Revisiting Czernowitz 2006." For me this trip
is not just about meeting one
another, so the term "reunion" is slightly incongruous and meaningless. The
journey is about revisiting our personal and shared histories.
Revisiting or exploring our roots.

>>7. Czernowitz walks in small groups of people who share a particular
>> interest. Some of these are: The theatre, the university, the
>> Herz-Jesu church and other churches.
>
> Yes. -- but here is where I'd like to find a way for people to locate
and visit specific addresses where our families lived. I'm sure I'm not
the only one with such a specific interest. So, some assistance in locating
these would be very much appreciated. If those others who also have
specific addresses in mind could "pool" our addresses, and if someone who
understood the streets of Czernowitz could help us to know which of our
addresses were within close range of one another, then perhaps we'd be able
to go in small groups to find our ancestral homes. That might require a
couple of local guides, but could be much more satisfying than simply
touring the city at large.

Joe Poras
