Dear all,

Joe Poras and a number of others in our group are interested in finding the
houses in which their parents, grandparents or other relatives lived.
Some of us know Czernowitz quite well and could locate these addresses on
the map. Chernivtsi today is not very different from the old Czernowitz.
Almost no old buildings were destroyed and almost no streets altered.

So I would like to suggest that anyone who wants an address located, write
to the list at large under the heading "address location" and give the
address either in German or Romanian. Those who can locate the address on
the 1941 map, write back, giving the quadrant in which the particular
address is located. When we'll be in Czernowitz, all those interested in
adjacent addresses can then go in a group to a particular neighborhood.

The 1941 map is on Jerome's website.

Best regards, Mimi
