You beat me to it. It is actually Romanian. My Mom was from Husi, in
Moldavia, which is about 100km south of Cz.
She didn't add cucumber or tomato [not that that really matters]. Patlagela
is a truly savory appetizer, not at all subtle. Dad loved it, he from
Lukawetz, a Cz 'burb.
