Igor,

The Masarikgasse was a new street built in the 1920s/1930s, hence it is not
shown on the old maps.

To find it, start at the corner of Holovna (formerly Siebenburgerstrasse /
Stefan cel Mare), at the crossroads with the Neuweltgasse (now Shevchenka).
(Location i16 on the 1907 "Plan von Czernowitz" if you have a copy of that.)

Walk along Holovna, towards the centre of town, on the left hand pavement.

After one block you come to the Masarikgasse, it is a short cul-de-sac, on
the left.

In other words - it is on the west side of Holovna, between Kordubi
(Petrinogasse) and Kafedralna.

We visited the street during the "Reunion" in 2006. Dr Gerhard Waldhorn, a
member of this list, formerly lived at No. 8. The parents of Paul Celan the
poet lived at No. 10. My mother Erika Grunberg lived with her family just
around the corner at what is now 74 Holovna.

I hope this helps!

David
