Hi Lenore,
Have you visited my Czernowitz Photo Studios webpage?
www.museumoffamilyhistory.com/czernowitz-photo-studios.htm. It is part of my
work-in-progress Czernowitz exhibition.
There are a number Bahrynowicz studio photos there, and one of them matches
up, with a small exception, with the lithographic design on the back of your
photograph. Lithographic designs on the back of studio photographs can often
be used to date the photo, though it isn't an exact science. This photo I
speak about is of Mina Grohs (nee Feuerstein), sister of Moritz Feuerstein.
Perhaps our dear Hedwig Brenner can estimate the date of your photo by
venturing a guess as to the date of her family photo.
If you'd like I can add your studio photographs to my exhbition, please let
me know. The more such photographs I have to display, the greater the
resource this photo studio page will be to others who wish for more
information on their Czernowitz families.
Regards,
Steven Lasky
