Sit breight and large my dear fatherland
Rich in fields forests and lakes
Another country like this you cannot find
Where the people are so free(?!)

Where is the little street where is the room
Where is the girl that I love

the Russian version is the same but I would like to ad the second verse:
Atedu is dos gesale atedu is die shtiib
Atedu is dos meidale wus ech hob lieb

That translates:
Here is the little street, here is the room
Here is the girl that I love

There was a (propaganda) movie about Birobijan
I remember the tune and only two lines of the song in Yiddish and Russian:

Furn fisher furn, furn mit gezang
Furn fisher furn of deim fishgefang

U rybalky na reke
Loviat rybu rybake

This is hard to translate, the meaning is that fishermen going to catch fish
while singing.
Gaby
