  The song is ,if I am not very wrong,from a A. Goldfaden
show " Di goldene Pave "- The golden peacock.
   The lyrics are Manger ,of course.
  After I translate I will get from 7 to 9 years for the
  cold-blooded murder of the English tongue :
  Here comes :
  A letter for Rabeinu Tam ( big scholar)
  Hear a story children dear - Yankee Doodle Dam,
  A black peacock drifts along over the Black Sea.
  And carries a little letter,a very precious letter,
  To our Rebbe Tam ,to Rabeinu Tam - Yankee doodle Tam,

    And this is only the beginning,
     Later the story gets more intricate
      But this for next time
