[Cz-L]Transliterated Yiddish version of Manger's "lomir zhe zingen"

Greetings,

I have now, on the same page, added the transliterated Yiddish version of
the Manger poem "lomir zhe zingen." So now you can hear Itzik Manger recite
his own poem, as well as read the poem in Yiddish (with Hebrew letters), as
well as the transliterated Yiddish form. I hope to add the English
translation soon. The link again is

This transliterated form, obviously, will be especially useful for those of
you who don't read Yiddish. I've listened to Manger recite this poem several
times; then I've recited his words as his did, at least I've tried to, in
the same rhythm and tone, using the transliterated version. Though I can
read the poem without the transliteration, it certainly is easier to read
the poem using the transliteration, both silently to myself and aloud.

Now once I receive the English translation, the poem will have even more
meaning to me. All of this, along with reading the background of the poet,
as well as learning about the times and places in which the he lived, has
given me a greater appreciation of the poet's work than I could ever gotten
by only reading it.

I have found this to be true, not just with regards to reading a poem or a
book, but also to gazing at a painting or listening to a musical piiece (to
a lesser extent.) This, I believe, is part of the process of literary, art
and music appreciation; In this we way we honor the writer or artist. Ah,
but I digress.....

So, in summary, I recommend that you do what I have done, only, of course,
if this sounds interesting to you. I hope that it will be an experience
worth having.
