I fully agree with you, particularly about the fact that the young
people living there today do not know that there was even a
ghetto and little if any about Transnistria, but I feel strongly that
we have to take this first step, given as it was as an initial compromise,
and then work to carry it further as time goes on.
When the first moon landing took place in 1969, Neil Armstrong
uttered the following words, now famous, "That's one small step for
man; one giant leap for mankind".
I think this same optimistic concept, although in a different sense,
has to be applied here.
