Dear Shmuel,
Please read my Email of today.
I will make no further changes to the plaque, unless these are to correct
spelling or grammar, or because the Chernivtsi authorities demand it.
I also want to say in general:
We have no indication that the inhabitants or administration of Chernivtsi,
are Anti-Semitic and unless we do, let's not make assumptions.
The wording of the plaque has to be precise and concise.
A Plaque commemorating his actions, in the city in which he lived,
is nice, but will not affect many people.
Anyone who is grateful to Traian Popovici, consider other means
of honoring him, showing your gratitude and spreading he knowledge of his
actions.
