Beauty:
  If a Czernowitzer wanted to ridiculize a conceited beauty he would say:
  "Si is a "Schoenheit". ( This in Hochdeutsch with the right inflextion).
    But if she was ugly then it was :
   " Si is a Farseienisch " That means that if a pregnant woman took a
    fixed look at her face the baby would be born ugly.
      What is a fixed look ? If the "schwangere " looked at the
"Farseienisch's"
    face for 3 or more seconds without blinking.
       This condition could be undone by a visit to the "Bube".
         This brings us to a new chapter : Czernowitzer superstitions.
