Mimi,

Dr. Hacken gave me  his essay "Das Czernowitzer Deutsch" many  years ag=
o. I can't remember where I put it, but  will look for it all my folders=

Did you know that his wife, Vera wrote a small book in Yiddish titled:
"KINDER -YORN, YUGENT YORN  MIT ELIEZER STEINBARG?"

Warm regards.

Dear Fred,

Emanuel Hacken, better known as Munyu Hacken was my father's school
friend, and my first pediadrition, I still remember him both from
Czernowitz, as well as from a visit I paid him with my parents in
Poughkeepsie in 1959.
I would love to have his essay "Das Czernowitzer Deutsch".

Thanks,

Mimi
