I remembered some verses of the poem and found
some 6 versions of it more or less
similar to how we knew it back at home.
This is one from the net:

Dunkel war's, der Mond schien helle,
Schnee lag auf der grünen Flur.
Als ein Wagen blitzeschnelle
langsam um die Ecke fuhr.
Drinnen saßen stehend Leute,
schweigend ins Gespräch vertieft,
als ein totgeschoss'ner Hase
auf der Sandbank Schlittschuh' lief.
Drinnen saß ein holder Jüngling,
Schwarzgelockt mit blondem Haar,
Neben ihm 'ne alte Schachtel,
Zählte kaum ein halbes Jahr,
In der Hand 'ne Butterwecke,
Die mit Schmalz bestrichen war.

It is called:
Varianten eines Spottgedichts
Eine frühe Aufzeichnung des Spottgedichts
("Volksthümliches aus dem Königreich Sachsen".
Auf der Thomasschule
ges. von Oskar Dähnhardt.
Bd. 1. Leipzig: Teubner, 1898. )
