[Cz-L] Teenager Communists and the Torture!?

Hedwig Brenner, our dear fellow member, comments on "Teenager
Communists and the Torture!?" as follows:

"Thanks for the list of names...I knew some of those personally: Kirmeyer
(from Sadagura)and Gabe(the son of the owner of the "Fruehsueckslokal " in
the Herrengasse). Both were fighter in the spanish war against Franco
1936and both did not came back..Pochmarski was polish, he studied philosophy
and was teacher, he married a jewish firl and remained in Chernowitz. In the
years 1941-44 he worked in the german library .Muhldorf, in the Ostbank(
where before was the textile-shop of Yartparonian.. My husband presented him
to me, we looked at the books on table in front of the shop, from the
Buchgemeinschaft, he saw our yellow star but spoke very friendly with us...I
do not believe that he remained for the second sovjet period in
Czernowitz...I will continue later, because my children came for lighting
the 3 light...

Kirmeyer: Severin from Zuczka came back from the spanish war, his
cousin, also Kirmeyer und Gabe perished there....other names: Luise Huber
was my classmate until the 4,th class of highschool, I remember that I had a
friend from the Hoffmann-School, Niunia Rosenzweig, who took me once to a
communist meeting...in the "Russische Gasse"...there were very many young
boys and schoolgirls, and one of the leader hold a lecture about
communisme...I was thirteen and I understood nothing....when I came home and
told my mother about the lecture, my mother asked me never to go there
again, because if I would be seen there by some teacher. I will loose the
stipendium I had, because I was orphan...I heard later, that Nunia passed
clandestinely from Bassarabia into the Soviet-Union, her brother was there a
big party-leader...
Nathan Melzer studied abroad medicine and in 1939 had his private
consultations the next house to us, at Str.Dinmitrie Onciul 14.
Dr. Pariser was a very famous lawyer, a friend of my father, and had his
office in the Siebenbuergerstr., next to the Kriegerdenkmal...One of his
daughters is living in Jerusalem..
Nicu Adelstein also a famous lawyer and Dr. Siegfried Rosenzweig has after
the war translated the dyary-book , Arnold Daghani," he Grave is in the
cherry-orchard" from the death-camp he, Dr.Rosenzeig, died in the 80-ies in
Vienna."
