Transnistria of the WW2 was the territory between the Dniester and the Bug
river
allocated by Hitler to Rumania for his faithful services.
Today Transnistria is a narrow strip of land on the east side of the
Dniester
with the main town Tiraspol.
It is belonging to Moldova but the population refused this status and
formed an entity illegal and not recognized.
In this area there were no deportation sites of Jews in 1941-44.
