I just spoke with my mother who played the piano like a virtuoso until her
stroke a few years ago. She recalled her piano teacher's name was Frau
Mihaly who had a studio at the end of the Herrengasse. At the end of every
school year, Frau Mihaly had a big production. All the parents came with
flowers to the concert. When the Russians came, she moved to the
Conservatory but when the Germans came all was lost including my mother's
treasured baby grand piano.
Does anyone remember a piano teacher name Mihaly?
