Again by way of Gaby Rinzler -- a correction:

Kurt's son called me to call my attention to an error and an omission
in the obit of his father.
 
He died on 10/13/2011 (not 1/13) and I omitted the fact that Kurt was
actively involved in the Czernowitz Jewish Cemetery Indexing project
which is part of the JewishJen Online Worldwide Burial Registry (JOWBR)
