I read the German (gives me pleasure to do that every once in a while, the same kind of pleasure I get from reading the lengthy discussion about powidl, which my mom used to make), so was not very concerned with the machine translation to begin with.  The story in German is much longer than the translation and deals significantly with the man himself, rather than just the graphic details of how he died.

I do not know where the machine got the idea to attach the word "lovers" to the names of the doctors, so yes, it is amusing.

On the contrary, Gershon, I do expect machines to  be perfect; it's the
humans who are frequently flawed.  Just joking - I long ago gave  up
expecting too much from either machines or humans.  But  although
I appreciate your sending the corrected translation, you've got to  admit
