Dear all
I check in with with Zoya by phone on a semi regular basis - though she was
never my "guide", we have become friends and I enjoy catching up with her.
Just yesterday I gave her a call and we talked about the situation in
Ukraine and how much more difficult daily life is becoming, mentioning some
of the same things she wrote to Ilana Gordon. Fewer visitors requiring tour
guide services are coming these days. She mentioned a large group of
Israeli visitors who came recently, but they brought with them their own
Hebrew speaking guide. Zoya is not a complainer - she is always interesting
and entertaining to talk with - so I know that when she says that people
are having a hard time it must be true. Is there anything we can do to help?

Sylvia
