Thanks so much to Cora for identifying Mr Avram Kaplan who, if I understand
well, later replaced Mr Yosl Sobol as the head of the Mogilev Jewish
Community.
We were saddened to hear that Mr Kaplan passed away years ago.
The reason that in the photo he was sitting on the floor was simply because
the photo was taken during religious memorial ceremony, and Mr Kaplan was
not interested in it...
Cora's message led me to her very interesting website www.coraschwartz.com
and to the fascinating life story of Olga Kobylianska. Recommended!
