Thank you very much for all of the information as well as your good wishes. I should have mentioned that these two towns no longer existed as places with a Jewish presence. I visited Boian three years ago and was surprised by the quantity of new and elaborate domestic architecture. I was told that many of these homes were built by locals of Romanian heritage who benefited from regulations that allowed them to work in the EU. I also spent time wandering through the Jewish cemetery hoping to find family that might have been buried there. Do you know if there exists a registry for the cemetery? Thank you again for your input.
