Hello,
Not to hijack your thread, but does anyone know why some Bukovina villages
were prefixed with the word "Rus-" but no longer have this prefix (if the
town still exists)? e.g. Rus-Moldovita and Rus-Biy. What did the Rus prefix
signify?
Thanks,
Eric
