and perhaps that is why the German Jews in Germany had, perhaps, some
disdain for the Galicianer Jews, because they were (a) more from the
country and(b) spoke more Yiddish and Polish whereas the German Jews
sought, I believe, to assimilate more?
I'm looking to sythesize here and see if I am getting it ...
