Does anyone have a recipe for Oblaten? My cousin,
Netty Kastner Moses and her late sister, Dora Kastner
Fleischer (from Radauti), used to make this delicacy,
loaded with calories.

It consists of two thin sheets of wafer, filled with a sort of
nougat (which acts as glue to hold them together), then
cooled and cut into 1" squares. The wafers are purchased
in a European specialty shop and come in either large rounds
or squares, according to the manufacturer.

Netty says that she doesn't make these any more as
they're so irresistible, people eat them like candy and
then complain that they've put on too much weight.
