Hi Cornel,
I somehow also believe that all this is getting out of hand...
Czernowitzers are primarily interested in Czernowitz, and no one keeps
anybody from visiting Vienna, or other places, before or after having
visited the Bucovina.
I lived in Czernowitz my first 16 years and visited the city of my birth
about 10 years ago, in the hope that the circle would be been closed.
However, the pull is still very strong and I'd like to be there one more
time!
I've travelled a lot, often due to circumstances beyond my control. I
spent 8 years on a caribbean island, and live now in Israel. I know Vienna
quite well. Truth is that after having to cope with many different cultures,
culture shocks, mentalities, ways of life - I am a bit tired.
But...Czernowitz, oh well! No matter what my life was like, I consider
myself a product of this city full of wonders, and yes, I'd like to back
again next year, but with no detours!
For the moment, until a final decision, I suggest we play it by ear and
simply gather opinions and suggestions!
