dear nina, the cemetery is owned by the city. the management offices, burial
records etc are in buildings down the path through the german part opposite
ours.there are a few employees,mainly women , who try not very successfully
to keep at least the paths clear.the group as a whole through the initiative
of our"naturesmom" tried toget something done,,not very effectively. there
is also a group operating out of new york who do this kind of work., and we
used to be in touch with them....i am sure our moderator still has all the
details. one of my aims in the czernowitz reunion is to talk to people "on
scene" so to speak and see what we come up with. cornel
