RE: [Cz-L] My personal comments re Cz Reunion

Dear Cz. Friends,

I have deliberately kept out of the discussions lately, but since this
is the time when we are finally getting somewhere,- I shall also add my
personal comments. I deliberately refrained from doing so lately because
after our first euphoric embrace of my initial suggestion re a
reunion,(- anywhere,- since most of you had been to Czernowitz obviously
we could get together with our landsman wherever we want to,- where we
live, travel or back in Czernowitz),- we then started getting all kinds
of interference instead of constructive suggestions.
Therefore,
1)unfortunately and regretfully,- because Charles and Luba could not
keep everyone informed re what they were planning and why, I tried my
best to keep you all up to date.
2)But I got myself into trouble.Mimi told me in no uncertain terms to
butt out,- she wanted to take over, so I did and sat back from all
further arrangements.
3) Personally, it became obvious to me that I don't have the same
interests as most of you. Those of us who have similar backgrounds still
want to meet in Vienna as well,- now after visiting Czernowitz.
4) The new dates don't suit me for Czernowitz,but since I was not
originally intending to travel there at this time anyway,it doesn't
matter. I shall postpone our trip to Romania and Bucovina for the year
of their larger celebrations and anniversary,- all being well!
5)The new proposal offered by Luba German through her Travel Agency,
should suit most peole, as long as the dates suit you. Like every group
tour, people take up whatever is offered or not.- There are options for
people to join at various points, or go directly to Cernowitz. No one
forces anyone to meet the Mayor if you don't want to. However, I would
suggest to everyone,-take the opportunity to do so, if you want
something done at the cemetery.
It is an opportunity which is offered by the organization which Luba has
undertaken on everyone's behalf and it should be accepted graciously!
6) Those individuals who want to do their own thing, - what or who stops
you? You either turn up on your own, at the hotel which you may book for
yourself and there you may or may not want to meet everyone else. It is
entirely up to each and everyone to take up what is offered.Or not.
7) Thank you to Jerome for changing the info. on the website.From time
to time I hope that Charles will send updates to Jerome and if everyone
checks the website nearer the travel time, you will be able to see what
else is being offered.

I hope that from now on,you can all go ahead with making your
arrangements. I am sure that various small groups will form within the
main group, to visit the places which interest you,or discuss whatever
you have in common with each other.

But if you want to be independently on your own,- may I suggest that
surely,you can go to Czernowitz at any time without a 'reunion' !
