Sorry to disappoint you. I remember, when we were liberated by the
Russians; the soldiers shared their bread with us. We were told the
Russian soldiers ration per day was 250gr of bread and 100gr of fatback
(slanina). They shared this with my extended family in Bershad. I will
never forget this; we had nothing to eat for nearly a week.
