The newspaper clips sent by Hardy are very interesting and to the best
of my knowledge, all except the one about the Lindberg baby are accurate.
About the winter of 1940-41, I heard from my parents, they said that the
temperature went down to -40 degrees Celsius, which is also -40 degrees
Farenheit. The joke was that the Russians had brought the cold with them.

I hope Hardy will send us more sources of articles, about the period
Preceding WW2.
