Also the stern looking lady in the center must have been the "Pioner
Vojataia",
local leader of the pioneers. They were mostly women soldiers. Ours changed
my name
from Berti (Berthold) to Tolia immediately I was given the Galstukh
(Halstuch) - later we found
out she had two male friends, one Kostia and the other Tolia and as we
already had a Kostia
in the 4th grade parallel class my name-fate was pre-programmed. But she
was nice.
