> Has anyone on this list ever met Rose Auslander?
Rose Auslander has been my English teacher at the start of the war when she
could not get back to the USA after visiting her mother in Czernowitz. Rose
and my mother nee Claire Hönich have been high school colleagues and clos=
e
friends.
Since we had no other English books, she taught me the language using
"Tales" by Oscar Wilde.

Subject: [Cz-L] Rose Auslander
Greetings,
I am hoping, within the next few days, to create a web page for Czernowitz=
native and poet Rose Auslander (nee Scherzer.) I will include at least two,=
maybe more, mp3 sound files of her reciting her own poems. She wrote in
German, so the poem recitations will be in German too. Has anyone on this=
list ever met Rose Auslander?
I'll announce the Auslander web page once it is online.
Best,
Steve Lasky
