My mother, Pearl Spiegel Fichman, also used the Poems and Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde in order to learn English. She had that volume in her library and I
have it now. She talked about learning English from reading those fairy tales. Some of them used to make me cry when I read them as a child in New York=
- they can be very sad.
