[Cz-L] Leaving Czernowitz

Berti, Bobby and anyone else who was born in Czernowitz,

I am curious to know how many of us left Czernowitz in the summer of 1945
and how many left illegally previously. Does anyone know with certainty why
they opened the border for two or three days and let anyone who wanted to
leave, do so?
Was Tereblesti the only open crossing point?
